Search and replace in unsaved open files

PSPad has a wonderful option to search and replace in Open Files by selecting 'Open Files' in the Search Scope of the 'Search/Replace in Files' selection.

But the search and replace is done on the files that are saved on disk. I sometimes would like to search and/or replace in the open files without first saving changes to disk (or with multiple new files that have never been saved).

Would it be possible to create a Search/Replace option that would work on the open files as they are in PSPad? Maybe as an option (open files) in the Scope section of the regular Search and Replace dialogs?
