Do you have Windows 8.1?
Did you set any compatibility mode for PSPad? If yes, switch it off.
This error occurred as connection of the 3 things together:
Windows 8.1 + Wordwrap mode + Highlight matching brackets
Switch off WordWrap mode (Ctrl+W)

The strange thing is for Windows 8.1 it should stop highlight matching brackets if wordwrap is on. Can you confirm it?
If not, it means you run PSPad in any compatibility mode. Please check it.

My word wrap is off.
I am able to see matching brackets in my python file.
My word wrap is on.
But when I am trying to write '(' then exception occurs.
PS : What is compatibility mode for pspad?(I have not set anything!)
UPDATE : Word wrap is on or off its still highlight the matching brackets!

Do you see matching brackets when WordWrap is on?
Compatibility mode: right mouse on PSPad link or exe / Properties / Copatibility tab
Uncheck compatibility mode if set
