Is it possible to lock the file which is opened in PSPad (like MS Office does).
Another user can get a message that the file is already opened.
It reduces the frustration when 2 people are using the same file.

If 2 people works on same file, there is something wrong in your firm processes.
There is no currently plan to implement it.
If more users will want this functionality, we can start discussion about way how to realize it - setting file atribute, use way like word - create another file what will do lock function.
But I don't want to use way to keep file open whole time.

Creating a {filename}.lock file is the usual method.

Same problem for us. We're (IT) working on several files (sometimes up to 20~30) a day, making larger or smaller changes. Other divisions are working on the same files (wording e.g.). Many hours of work were already spoiled by lost changes in files.
File-locking would help us very much!

Hi
I also have this issue, because we are 5 IT-Programmers in our IT-Department, that creates vbScripted installation scripts to run on our 3.500 computers using our Management System.
Just use the Windows API LockFile and UnLockFile, and maybe add an enable/disable setting in PsPad.ini

I will add some locking mechanism, but be patient please. I am very hurry in my work, we have some terms we must keep on.
This is reason, why I slow down work on PSpad now.
