New version appears to have much wider indent in the project tree, which is annoying enough because they increase the width significantly.
It's more annoying because you can't actually click the triangles. This is v277:
In previous versions the width was nowhere near as bad (this is v271):
and the triangles were clickable.
Is this a config option I'm missing?

Could you make PSPad to remember the chosen ASCII table?
Each time PSPad starts, the ANSI Arabic is selected by default. Thanks

You can change order of the code page list. Put your favourite on top. I will add functionality to remember last osed one

there is no 277, 275 is latest ( i think)

Is it necessary? If pspad is installed in program files, such utility must run eith elevated rights.

I do not insist, but before the release of the fifth version, the publication of updates was, to put it mildly, uncomfortable.
