My tab height is messed up as well. The bottom row of tabs is chopped off.

Put 4.6.2 (2739) in, and it looks normal:

If 1234 is in the list of previously found strings but 12345 is not in the list then highlighting 12345 actually puts 12345 into the "Text to Find" box.

Confirm that this problem still exists for me too, even in build 2745.

eg if I highlight a word "MyNewVariable" and hit <alt-S> <s> <return> PSPad shows all matches for "MyNewVariable" (as expected). If I then decide I want to search for any mention of "MyNew" and I highlight just "MyNew" and hit <alt-S> <s> PSPad will automatically expand MyNew into MyNewVariable, which isn't what I wanted at all.

With 2745 i still have some funny result:

1: Ok for me
3: Normal comment
4: Why is here the red sign?
6: Ok
7: Why is here the red sign?
9: Why is here the red sign?
10-11: Ok here...
13: Why is here the red sign?
14-16: Funny: Why is here the red sign?
19-21: # without following chars in red? Reason?
24: Ok
25-26: Even more funny!

Pleas explain someone what ist the reason for that coloring.

Bash highlighter is the same as before. If there are funny results, there were funny results before too.

4. Red sign is symbol. Change color for symbols to different if you don't like it. This should be comment or not?

9. Should be comment.
13-16 - red signs are symbols. Comment starts by green char.
19-21 - there is no space behind, no comment

I am not author of bash highlighter, but I can change it.
Instead of the "funny pic" write rules for comment and I will change highlighter.

For sure it is not the same as befor. #!/bin/bash was never shown like in the picture. But that is ok, as it is no comment ether.

The only "#" used in Bash i know that is no comment is:

$# - Number of given parameters
${#var} - Lenght of var
${#var[@]} - Number of elements in array
${string#substring} - Strip shortest match of $substring from front of $string
${string##substring} - Strip longest match of $substring from front of $string
${string/#substring/replacement} - If $substring matches front end of $string, substitute $replacement for $substring
Probably everything between "" like 'echo "This is # for test"'

If you switch off this option, Search/Replace dialog will offer you last used string

If you switch off this option, Search/Replace dialog will offer you last used string

Because if your selected/current matches the first part of a previous search string, the code chooses the previous search string from the search history dropdown and searches for that, not for what you've selected.
