COBOL samples sent as requested, with explanation why there should be a highlighter for FREE format, too.

Keep your good work,
Simon

Jan,
Please take a look at following.
1) Have locking file enabled.
2) Open a file, lock file created.
3) Use save as to save file as new name.
4) Locking file still shows old name
5) Close file and PSPad, locking file still on file system.

This is what happen for me; doesn't seem like it should do this.

Hi Jan, assuming you asked me as you didn't mentioned anyone and I was the last one posting...
I've personally used PSPad v4.5.8 (2457), but the COBOL samples sent are universal winking smiley

Have a nice time "out",
Simon

I asked you for the latest build, cause bugs in all highlighters are fixed continuously. Some users continue to send me report from several years old PSPad version. For me the version is important.

Retested with 2500, breaks in COBOL syntax highlighter are still the same (please have a look into your inbox, mail sent 20.08.2014).

I didn't make any changes related to Cobol highlighter yet. If I would, you will see it in changes.

I am looking on your example. It really means you can have strict Cobol with code ending on column 71 and strings in this source can be longer 71 column?
I don't know Cobol, can you confirm it?
If this rule isn't valid, go to settings / Highlighter settings / Specification tab and increase size of end of code.

If end of code is set to 71 column, all behind this column is ignored.
