#3 FTP:Filelisting

FTP:Filelisting
Ok, the double ".." is gone away. smiling smiley

But please, remove the "." entry
This elem is useles and I allways click the first elem of an Directory to go one level up. (as it was before)

But now this is the unseless "." Elem.

Now you must click the second elem.
In contrast to the normal File-List where your must click the first elem to go up.

another FTP issus

The CHMOD Dialog is initialy empty
The Dialog don't show the current attribute Values.
Before the current attributes are filled in.

If you click "ok" whitout any action.
The filemode woud be set to "0000"

Edit:

This occours only with the new "MLSD" mode.
Not with old "LIST" Listing

If you use MLDS, you are able to read real UNIX attributes. But with other listings you have different format of the attributes, from some FTP servers there is no rights list.

I can prefill atributes for CHMOD if MLSD listing is used.

'.' and '..' are now returned as part of the from MLSD file list. Before was necessary to add '..' into listing - it was reason why it was doubled. I will remove '.' from the list.

Jan,
On my system W8.1u1 x64 your "Implemented file locking system" doesn't work when set to lock file. Tried with both a txt and an ini file. Made this setting with closed files, closed app and a reboot, but can't get it to work.
Works as described with R\O setting.
Regards,
Pete

If you open file myfile.txt, pspad should create myfile.txt.lck file. This file contains computer name and user name.
If somebody else wants to open same file, PSPad should inform who is editing the file.
Is possible to write into folder? Is there any error message when you open file?

Tested opening files in multiple locations all with full control permissions. The lock file is not created. Tested on several machines all with same result.
All same OS W8.1u1 x64 Ent. Some in domain some in workgroup.
Open file in PSPad with lock setting; open and edit file in NotePad - no errors or warnings and can save in NotePad.
If I change to R\O setting; open in PSPad then open in NotePad no errors or warnings from either. If I try to save I get save as dialog.
Regards,
Pete

Jan,
Did you get a chance to look at the file locking issues?
I did some more testing and the operation of this feature seems inconsistent. On one machine I cannot get either the R\O setting and lock file setting to work.
Secondly in the UI if you make a change for say no file lock to R\O, the "Apply" button does not become active. I have not found any computer where the apply button becomes active with a change to these settings.
Regards,
Pete
