I want to report a bug...

While working on a local file, after Save to FTP, the edited file on the edit window will become the file on the FTP server ! After editing anything the tilda (~) appears..

This is a strange behaviour because it was not an issue at previous releases.

I revert back to 2295 immediately...

Best regards,
Mahir

Hi again smiling smiley

there is still the bug with PSPad crashing when pasting from the copy-buffer into a window with LineWrapping on.

I tested this now and I think I found a way to surely reproduce the crash:

1) copy any 10 characters to the Clipboard (maybe these: 0123456789)
2) start PSPad, switch LineWrap on
3) set the WrapMark to "10" for "10 characters"
4) paste with Ctrl+V 10 times - NOT with the Paste-Toolbar-Icon! That seems to work...
5) if you paste the 11th time, PSPad crashes with it seems two "Access violations".

I tried this several times on my XP Prof, and always on the 11th paste PSPad crashes.

Greetings - and I really love your Editor smiling smiley

If you save file to FTP, in the title PSPad show you FTP path (it's old behavior). But you still edit local file. If you press SAVE, PSPad will save your file to FTP too.

Sorry, but I don't understand your "tilda". Where the tilda appears?

It is easy to repeat what I am doing:

1) Open a local file
2) Connect to the FTP server
3) Edit the local file
4) Right-Click at the filename tab and issue a "Save to FTP" command.
5) and bingo ! at the top of the windows you'll see that you started to editing the file on the FTP server ! (PSPad - [ftpservername.xxx:/cgi-bin/xxx.xx])
6) if you keep editing then the tilda (~) sign appears in the front of the file name in the file tab which is the case for files opened from the FTP server.

This started with 2296. Now I revert to 2295 :(

Mahir

OK. Correct me, if I undestand you bad.
You want to save file to FTP and don't save other changes you make to FTP?

Can I know reason of this?

The new behaviour is no different from working directly on a remote file.

There are many many times when I (and possible many others) NOT prefer to save a local version to the FTP server.

I was more than happy with the previous behaviour of the "Save to FTP" command. I was able to continue saving just locally.

Now, after a "Save to FTP" command it will save ANY FURTHER EDITING of the file both locally and remotely.

isn't there anyone agreed with me sad smiley

You want a "Copy to FTP", saving the File only at this moment to FTP, right? Sounds reasonable.

C/C++ code explorer still has problem. Function test2 isn't shown in the following example in PSPad builds 2295 and 2296:

#ifdef X
void test1( void)
{
#ifdef Y
// ...
#else
// ...
#endif
}
#endif

void test2( void)
{
}
