pspad:
The assignLog() function is no longer supported in PSPad v4.5.3. You can directly access the LOG with the new log functions. Log is no longer able to simulate editor window functionality.

Thank you. That clears things up for me. You need to add the above line to the Script\readme.rtf file. And remove the reference to AssignLog() under the section called "editor object function"

OK. I will do it, or I can add AssignLog back and let it return some value you can make an universal scripts...

P.S.
OK. I will return it back and it will returns always 0 (before it returns 1).

Do you plan to add a button or a menu to clear the log window ?

I don't see any reason for it. Log is automatically cleared with new compiler call.
You can write simple script what can do it if you need it. See new logXXXX function in scripting support

Hi,

I mostly use the logwindow for capturing output running sql, powershell, scripts etc (not much compiling).
I never even noticed any problems with the logwindow yawning smiley

With the new logwindow I cannot longer copy values etc from it.
Is this just me or is this not longer doable?

As you understand, I am still using the 2281 build sad smiley

Regards,

You can copy whole content now only or open it in new window.

OK. What now? I can't use editor in the log, because it has drawing problems.
If I use ListBox, there is no possibility to select part of the text.
I can use memo, but without marking lines with errors.

At this time ListBox is used and will be used in future too, if no other solution will be available.

Maybe an option to switch between the current list-based view and a simpler memo-based view would do the trick.

The memo view would just keep appending stuff to the bottom. No special features or formatting, just plain text. That would allow people to select/copy anything they need out of it. The list view would have all the extra features when users are compiling code and such.
