Just to be clear - body is not a Tcl/Tk keyword. Apparently, it's an incrTcl keyword - with is an OO extension for Tcl. That said, I guess it'd be OK if it were added, but where do you draw the line?

Open psPad, type 10 times 123 (123123123123123123123123123123). Now go to Search/Replace and replace 3 with \n (regexp on, no prompt). A popup will tell you that "3" was replaced 10 times, but on screen you'll see

12
123123123123123123123123123

This was with 2183, so I went for this beta (2191) but has the same problem...

F

Hello Frank,

it has been already discussed on the forum.
Simply go to the end of your sentence, hit Ctrl+H and replace 3 by \n
Check regular expression and especially direction to backward
Hit OK. PSPad will replace all 3 by a carriage return.

PSPad can only replace character from bottom to top when you want to replace a piece of text by a carriage return.

That's all.

OK, I looked but did not find this. My mistake. However, if this is the way to go, then why isn't it either implemented this way in the beta, or at least shown in a popup or something?

Great editor btw.

Frank

jgodfrey,

You’re correct that this is an extension of TCL; that said OOP is a key and fundamental aspect of programming.

Also I write 95% in OO and my class files can get very big with methods, unfortunately the code explorer only identifies functions that start with either "proc" or "method"

At least with the body keyword I can select the method quickly.

Also not many or if any "FREE" text editors support TCL/TK like PSPAD, and I am very great full that Jan, has added TCL/TK features in the past and hopefully he will add this one also.

Thanks,

MoMann

Thanks a lot. Now it works very well on Windows 2000 smiling smiley

Just for information, the splash screen of PSPad display 4.5.1 build 2197 instead of 2191 but it is not important.
