I see, thanks.
Anyway, it would be nice having a global setting to run that command on file save. Almost every advanced editor has such a setting...

Search and replace:
I Search for ", " and replace with "\n" also if the dialog say x21 found and substitute it change only the first occurence..

Than i have problem also to display number whe digited the number are displayed from left to right:
I mean:
try to digit this occurrence "A 32 45 12 A 67 88"
the resul is this
Digit "A" and blank is displayed "A "
Digit "3" is displayed "A3 " the blank is put after 3
Digit "2" is displayed "A32 "
Digit blank is displayed "A 32" is displayed in the right way (as digit)
Digit blank is displayed "A 32 "
Digit "4" is displayed "A4 32 " instead of "A 32 4"
Digit "5" is displayed "A45 32 " instead of "A 32 45"
Digit blank is displayed "A 45 32" instead of "A 32 45 "
and so on...
you have not to left PsPad Window or the digit will be correct

Hello,

thanks for this usefull and free tool.
I have a request about the external applications. Typically I use these to launch clearcase commands on open files. unfortunately, 5 entries are not enough to do all basic clearcase commands.
So is it possible to increase the maximum external applications for project ?

thanks

Use the favourite tab on the project panel - you can assign unlimited number of external applications there
You can assign external applications to individual highlighters instead in the project.

If not possible to set shortcut in the KeyMap change shortcut dialog, it will not work in KeyMap Direct edit too.
Char '/' isn't allowed. Questions of type "why not" please send to Borland.

thanks for your reply.
I'm very sad about this. when i used the first time pspad i thought it will be my new general editor, but after all i have to say that there are too many 'problems'
- i cant edit, select what's behind a search/replace dialog
- i cant set a shortcut for '/'
- i didn't found an easy solution for block comment for php, css, html
- cant use special chars when edit files.
- cant change easily between char coding in file format
- there are problems with html multihighlighting in php files which contains more then 6000 chars...
- there is a strange behavior with ftp servers - after using 1-2 hours the saving, editing.. any operation will be hell slow, i did not found the problem source, but i think it is in pspad because the same servers work fine with zend editor

anyway. pspad is a great piece of software, i appreaciate your work. i'm just thinking about what if you've used c++ or java for this, and maybe these error would never appear.

thanks again, have good day

Jan,

Sorry - this seems to have been a false alarm. It's the difference between running a Tcl interpreter (either "wish" or "tclsh") via an "External Compiler" or via an "External App" within PSPad.

Running an interpreter as a "compiler" exhibits the blocking behaviors I have described previuosly. Running as an "external app" behaves correctly (PSPad is not blocked, code can be edited while an app instance is running, new instances can be started, etc).

So, if I run as an "external app", things act as I expect. So, no problems here. Though, I have to wonder if a "compiler" should be able to run the same way?

Anyway, thanks.

Jeff Godfrey
