I think UltraEdit displays the file as it reads it. Does PSPad wait until the complete file is read before displaying it? Thats how it seems to me. Try opening a large (100 meg+) across the LAN. It'll show you the difference.

I don't understand.
If you want remove some highlighter from the highlighter list, uncheck the checkbox before highlighter name.

UE has better file handling.
PSPad must load a whole file into memory first and then display it.

I'm not sure how it is in the stable version, but could you also put a checkbox for the active language in the toolbar?

It's SpellCheck dictionary select, not PSPad language.

Did you close the <li> tags as you should when doing valid HTML. Looks to me like because you did not close the <li> tag PSPad just carries on as if all the tags after that are within the list.

Hi Jan,
thank you for your answer.
Is there any posibility to view a textfile in hex without Unicode transformation ?
When i save a new text file created with your Editor it was not in Unicode.
I need a toggle to switch between normal and unicode-mode for me.
Because i need sometimes an hex editor, who makes no conversions to the orginal
file.
Ciao,
Corwin
