What you exactly mean ?
What is slow ? PSPad start ? Your typing ?
Its slow copare to ....

I don't know what Users meant, but I will give you an example: I used textfile, 213kB, and replaced all , (commas) with % (percents signs) -- all in all over 2,500 replacements:
- with highlighter on and word-wrap off it took approx. 45 sec
- with highlighter off and word-wrap off it took approx. 8 sec
- with highlighter off and word-wrap on it took approx. 10 sec
CPU was used in 99% for all the time.
Now, you ask compared with what? I used NoteTabPro, once legendary, now very outdated editor. Without highlighter (as it hasn't any--I told you it was very old) the replacement was done instantly (0,5 sec or so), no matter if word-wrap was on or off (okay, with word-wrap on maybe 1 sec total).
PSPad is way better as a editor (I consider function-and-variable-rich inner macro language as the main strenght of NTP), but since you asked a question, I answered it, so don't be mad at me
(I understand the speed problem is due to Synedit component.)

OK. This is a what I need. I can look if its possible to optimalize the replace function.
If you will meet similar things, write me it instead "PSPad is slow". OK ?

Its Windows XP problem with the directory locking.
If you open file from the directory and close it, Windows keeps lock on this directory.
PSPad really closes all files if you minimize it to tray. I try change directory after "Close to try" to release Windows lock...

There is a minor bug while selecting text with the mouse. Watch the counter in the bottom left corner while selecting some text and increase and decrease your selection on the fly.
The counter will increase if you decrease the selection....

Selecting by using the keyboard there is no problem.
