As Lolo suggested, I added message dialogs into insert clip process.
Please report me the last message dialog what you see before PSPad freezes (enough is a number of step you see in the dialog)

I only get one message box ("1. before form show").
Then the clip form opens and after clicking "OK", PSPad hangs, without opening another message box.

I also have same same behavior than flow.
Only the first one message box.
I tested it under Windows XP sp2 and Windows 2000 sp4.
You should add more Message Box.

The last message dialog I have seen is the 7th "put entered value into result"

Thank you. I have the problematic place now. Even I don't know why PSPad freezes there, but it's my problem.

sometimes when opening Perl (.pl) files from FTP the syntax highlighting does not work at all. When clicking on the toolbars icon, the correct filetype is already selected. After hitting OK without doing anything else, the colors are set as they should do.

PSPad allow you set a limit (default 250 000 bytes). Bigger files are not highlighted automatically, you must click on the button switching a highlighting On/Off.
You can change the limit in the Program settings / Direct Edit

i miss the feature that pspad automatically minimize to taskbar, if the last file was closed, exist it?
