In next build it will be OK

When editing a XML file (highlighting enabled), a double quote appears in line selection.
To simulate the problem, use the following simple XML:
<DUMMY>
<TEST VALUE="ABC"/>
</DUMMY>
and select the second line. You will see two double quotes after ABC
Note this happens only if you select the entire line including the line feed.
Thanks for this great editor ...

There is problem in XML highlighter. I reported it into Synedit community already.
Can you tell me your OS version and font you are using in PSPad ?

I use Windows XP SP1 and my favorite font is 'Lucida Sans Typewriter' (from Java SDK). Note I tried with others fonts but the result is the same.

I have the same problems here. As soon as you turn on the display of "non-printable" characters the display gets completely corrupted when using Lucida Sans Typewriter.

I should have tried 2127 before posting. The display problems seem to be fixed with the new build. Thanks!
Although I would like to change the character used for displaying a space, it's simply too big in that font ....
Cheers

With Courier New is same problem or not ?

There is a word selection problem.
If I have word "käyttäjä" (=user in Finnish), then doubleclick works wrong if I use any user highlighter. PSPad thinks that letter "ä" is a word separator (same with letter "ö"). With no highlighter selected or with any of non user highlighters word selection works ok.
So, doubleclicking first letter of "käyttäjä" selectes only k in my example.
Ctrl+Shf+Down has same problem, but Ctrl+Shf+Right does not (but then ctrl+shf+right does not select just one word, it selects text until next word, maybe that is how it is intended??).
Command Ctrl+Delete is not affected by highlighter, it allways deletes the rest of the word after cursor position (help file says it will delete word which it does not do unless cursor is positioned just before first letter).

I will check it.

Yes, its intended

There is difference between check char (ist used system API function to detect if char is letter or not) and between char separator - set of char defined by programator. There are no letters, but standard chars as spaces, brackets, ...

No, and as I said, it seems to be fixed with 2127
