#1 Feature request: Double-click on Project Tree

First of all, I want to say "Thank you" for developing and supporting such a useful product. As a multi-file, hierarchical editor, it is VERY useful!

But could you please look at improving your double-click functionality in the Project Tree? At the moment, if the file you double-click is a known extension (such as .c or .pas), it automatically opens in PSPad. If it is .txt, you can set it to open in PSPad only if you associate .txt with PSPad instead of Notepad.

What I would like is for PSPad to look at the file association, and if it is Notepad, open it inside the environment instead (that is, don't start Notepad). This way, it will open many other filetypes automatically from within PSPad, without having to change all the associations to PSPad.

If the file has no association, PSPad could do an automatic check for Binary files, and open the file in either the Text or Hex editor.

This means that most files will open in PSPad, except for files like .doc and .pdf, which you use the file association for.

Of course, this could be under a setting!

Thanks again
