I use PSPad version 4.5.3.(2298)
When I open big C source code files (about >500 kB) the highlighter is always switched off.
I always must click on the button “Show/hide syntax” to switch it on again. With smaller files everything works fine.

Program settings / Direct edit
HlUptoSize=nnn (nnn = max size in bytes)
