Alt-Tab lists PSPad twice, althought I have one instance

#1 Alt-Tab lists PSPad twice, althought I have one instance

Hi,
Whenever I use Alt-Tab to switch from PSPad to, suppose, IE - I always have to click Alt-Tab twice if I'm in PSPad.
Using a tool like Cool TaskSwitch for XP, I see that the "phantom" window of PSPad is a big long black screen. However, it's hidden - if I pass to it, I simply still in PSPad.

Can it be solved please? I want to see only one instance of PSPad in the task-switch window, to currespond my one instance of PSPad that is open.

Sorry, but I am not responsible for the 3rd party Windows extensions.
Canyou try it e.g. with the Total Commander or other Delphi application ?

You were right! I apologize, I thought it's PSPad's fault all the time...
Just moved from MS PowerToys XP Task Switcher into TaskSwitchXP by Alexander Avdonin, and everything (including the switcher itself) is so much better now smiling smiley

Hello,
I had same problem and followed the given advice because I had also XP power toys task switcher installed.
So I replaced it by taskswitchxp of Alexander Avdonin.
It solved the problem for alt+tab shortcut (not have anymore to hit it twice).
But mozaïc and cascade options for windows XP have the same behavior. If I have two windows active and try horizontal mozaïc, desktop will be separated into 3 parts if one of them is pspad and only 2 for any other program. Just like if pspad had two window handles or something...
But this is less annoying than alt+tab behavior. I think I will survive grinning smiley
This is just for understanding purposes.

I think PSPad does have two window handles. I have exactly the same problem with NoteTab (I even paid for it, but have stopped using it since I found PSPad). It is annoying, but I just live with it.

Do you see 2 Window with standard TaskManager or with some replacement? What about Total Commander? You see 2 windows too?

Hi,
I see only one window in applications tab of standard task manager.
I don't have total commander installed, so I cannot testify about that last point.
