Can we get a Markdown highlighter as part of the standard PSPad install?

I'm having trouble getting my Markdown highlighter to work. There are only a few things to highlight.

Lines beginning with '#', '##', '###', '####', '#####' are headers.

**this is bold**

*This is italics.*

***This is bold italic.***

This is a footnote ref.[^footnt1]

[^footnt1]: This defines the footnote.

Has there been any movement on this? I have PSPad 5.0.0 (277) on Windows 11.
