Is there any option to add some preprocessor symbols to PSPad for built-in languages like COBOL? I'd like to keep everything but only add some non-standard parts like "%mymacro(myparam, myparam)" or :mymacro param param2. Highlighting "%mymacro( )" or ":mymacro" would help to recognize it faster and it helps to directly see if it is written correctly.

Having the option to include some of these in the code explorer (for example ":" in column 7 starting a special section without the section keyword) would be nice, too.

No, cause current highlighters are hardcoded.
When version 5 will be stable, I will change editor engine and this one has user configurable highlighters. Then you will be able to add your own language parts.

Thank you for the information, I'll wait for the new engine in 6.0
