Reformating HTML code

#1 Reformating HTML code

Posted by: Mystral | Date: 2017-01-11 18:02 | IP: IP Logged

Hello,

Sometimes I must past into a new file some HTML code from the source code of a web page. To have better HTML reading I use the button "Reformating HTML code". But to use it, I must first save the file (for example test.html on the desk) using the commande "save as ..." but I can't still use the button (stay greyed). I must close the file and re-open it to use the button.
Is it possible to have this button enable when saving file as HTML code ?

Thank you

You don't have to save the file.
In the status bar on the bottom of the window you can select the file type.
If you open a new file, probably, it is a text file.
Clicking on the "Text" word it opens the "Change syntax" windows. If you select HTML as file format the "Reformat HTML Code" option becomes available (ungreyed).

Hello. You don't need to save file. The reason why button is greyed is the button works for HTML like files.
Create new HTML file, paste your code and you can directly use HTML reformat button.
Or create any file, e.g. TXT and change syntax to HTML

Near whole status bar is dynamical winking smiley
But all things what you can do in status bar you can do with toolbar or menu too.
