How can I remove all eol chars (CTRL-M)

#1 How can I remove all eol chars (CTRL-M)

Hi to Everyone,

On csv text files that were generated by a LibreOffice mswin version of a friend of mine, all lines are ending with the eol char (caret-M or CTRL-M, sometimes labeled /r or CR (chariot return)). I wish to remove all these end of line characters, since the csv files that I do obtain from my own linux-Ubuntu version of Libreoffice don't have these chars, and both csv files are meant to be joined together.

How am I to operate in order to achieve this ?

Thanks in advance for your help

Bernard

Or click on the statusbar in the center on the DOS name and change it to UNIX
