hi,
is there already an option to do "multi-level" searches in the multi-file search and replace function?
i'd love to be able to do the equivalent of:
grep -i "string1" *.txt | grep -i "string2"
directly from within PsPad!
even if the listing generated by the first search could be used as the input for the second search, that would be good enough...
if it's not there, can it be added to the "wish list"!
TIA

Also, just to save a couple of mouse clicks, could there be an option to only close the dialogue if the search succeeds but to leave it open if it fails to find any results?

Regulars expressions in search in files are planned, but just now I am focused in port PSpad into new Delphi version. New editor engine, 64b version, ...
Option to don't close dialog in not search success is possible. I will do it.

Thanks.
i've just worked out a klunky method to do a 2-level search:
1 do the primary search
2 click the "document" icon to turn the results into an open text file
3 do a manual list search in that document
the only downside is that if you have a lot of matches, you have to go hunting back up the text file to find the source filename, so a potential "quick mod" would be an option to make the listing:
filename1:line:text
filename1:line:text
filename2:line:text
..
rather than
filename1:
-------------line:text
-------------line:text
filename2:
-------------line:text
and to retain the "hot click" to open the matched file at the matched line.
Just an idea...

I also would find it very useful to have regular expressions in "search in files".

There is no problem to do it. But I need to listen other user opinion too.
