Can we have an option to turn off auto bullets?

PSPad 4.5.8 (2482) on Windows 7

I'm working in a text file with a .MD extension (it's a Markdown file). When I begin an existing line with a start '*', then go to the end of that line and hit enter, PSPad starts the next line with another star '*'. But I don't want this. I only want to enter the stars myself.

Can we have an option to turn off auto bullets?

Thank you. I found it under Settings, Program Settings menu, Direct Edit button, and changed to ContinueComment=0.
