I have PSPad 4.5.8 (2482). When I have a text file that has html in it, I go to the menu HTML > Conversion, but the "Remove HTML tags" is grayed out. The same thing happens when I select text I want to process, that item is grayed out.
Does this look at the file extension only to enable that "Remove HTML tags" menu item? Becuase it shouldn't. I have .MD files with HTML in them that will end up as Markdown only, and I need to remove all html from them.
Is this a bug?
Thank you. You have a great text editor, and I have 25 years experience looking for great text editors.

It's grayed, cause highlighter in your case is TEXT. Change highlighter to HTML.
YOu can use menu view, tollbar button or click on the highlighter name on statusbar.
