How can I disable active tab underlining, is there setting for it? Underlined tabs look too ugly, IMHO.

Users wants mark current tab. So I made high visible mark of the current tab.
Now other users doesn't like it.
Yes, I can add option to disable it, but much better will be suggestion how to make current tab more visible for first look in case Windows themes are disabled.
I can paint current tab with different color or something else. What do you suggest?

Is it this solution better?
Tab text and shadow depends of the Windows settings (Button highlight as background, button text as text color)

I think, three-state setting will be the best: no highlight, with color, underlined. Now I rollbacked to the last beta due to this annoying feature. It curious, but I'm usually using PSPad under Windows XP with disabled themes.

Don't you like the colored active tab?

OK, I will add option into [Special settings] section (Direct edit button in Program settings):
HighlightCurrentFileTab=1/0
It switches ON/OFF current tab highlighting
I will let highlight style without themes as was on picture in this thread, I like it better than underline.

I'm on 4.5.9 (2529) (portable) with Win 7 64 and never saw this underlying even if I disable most of special design settings. Maybe that's why nobody ever told you that he does not like it.

This underlining was intentionally made, cause users without themes in Windows has problem to recognize current tab.
I hope modification I wrote about in this thread will satisfied all.

Yes, ok, but I'm wondering why none of the three options 'File Tabs Style'-'Tabs|Buttons|Flat buttons' should be able to mark the active tab sufficiently.

New build in developer forum has option to hide highlighting active tab
Andreas, what is "sufficient" mark of current tab for you?
