brolx:I don't see any difference in version 2665.
Is it already implemented?
I am sorry. It's implemented, but you have to switch it on.
Open program settings and press direct edit button
Change value of the HighlightCurrentFileTab option to 1:
HighlightCurrentFileTab=1
Current file tab will be highlighted

What about the name in bold?
Or a custom color if you prefer

I also use Windows without a theme, and I like the highlighted tab in 2661. The ability to change the tab color would be nice, but it's pretty visible as-is.
I wouldn't want the tab to be bold (unless that was an option that could be turned off).

Bold font means change width of the TAB and continuous recalculating of the tabs when you cycle tabs.

and what about having the borders of the tab in color (red?)

I'm using HighlightCurrentFileTab=1, and the color of the current tab appears to have changed in 2667. Previously, it was white, but now it's dark grey. With black text, that makes it a bit hard to read.
Is the color being set via another setting that I could change?
Thanks!

Do you have really black text? It should be darkgray with white text.
Did you set some own color scheme?

Yes, the font color is just black (RGB 000). I'm using the Windows 7 Basic Theme.

In 2669, the current tab is now white text on a dark grey background. Much better! Thank you!
