Either press Alt and move mouse, or you can go to Edit > Selection Type > Column Selection, or double click the icon on the botton status bar to cycle through the three options

vserghi:
double click the icon on the bottom status bar to cycle through the three options

Hi Vas,

I've been using PSPad for about 6 years and I didn't even know about the status bar option !! (yes - I know I should read the help file).

I knew about column mode, but not about the 3rd option - line mode (very handy).

Also, after finally reading the help file I've discovered "Block Mode". Wish I had of known about this before !!!

Just to clarify your post - I think you you only have to single click the icon.

Thanks,

The single/double click on the status bar is dependant on your settings (Program (Part 2)).
