#1 how to leave cursor at current position after insert??

Is there a config setting that allows me to do this?? Right now, when I insert text into a document, the cursor gets moved to the end of the inserted text... that's not what I'm used to, and really not that convenient - especially if I want to insert the same text on several consecutive lines!!!

Ctrl+V inserts text with cursor on the end of the inserted text
Shift+Ctrl+V inserts text and keep cursor on original position

Menu Edit / Paste special
