Save Project /Save Setting. Close program.
Open again PSPad = EMPTY setting, empty tabs, remove project, all empty!

Please screenshot with project you are trying to save

I repeat again. PSPad doesn't delete any files. If you added your files into project and you saved your project, there is file something.PPR
This file you can load anytime. If you close PSPad with loaded project, PSPad will load it next time automatically.

Condition:
1. PSPad isn't installed as portable in Program files folder - settings must be out of program files folder, in default in your profile. See the path in program files / Bankup
2. Save Work/Desktop is enabled in program settings / Files and Dirs

if you want PSPad to open your previously open files when you load project, dont check option "Don't open any file after project load" in project settings

OK, Your project is full of files.
When you save it, you can anytime open it again.
Files what be open in time you close PSPad will open again.

What is your problem?
Where do you save project file?
Is there your project file after you save it?
Appears on the bottom of the Project menu (see my screenshots above)?
