Try to compare 2 files
1.txt with text in it:
# 12345
and
2.txt with text in it:
# 12345
(the only differ - quantity of spaces)
PSPad 4.5.8 (2485) thinks that files have no differences at all! But it is not so.

(in 1.txt after # there is only one space)
and
(in 2.txt after # there are two spaces)
(the only differ - quantity of spaces)
Sorry, but forum cuts extra spaces!

in the program settings you can set if diff tool ignore spaces e. t. c. this option is on as default

Thanks a lot! I found that setting. But I think that "Ignore Char Case" and "Ignore Blank Space" must be switched off by default.

Each user has own opinion. Default settings comes from the common ussage of most users
