Receiving e-mail notification by default?

In the Control Center I have checked to receive notification e-mails on replies, but when creating a new post like this one the notification option ("Send replies to...") is unchecked. Am I missing anything?

I am not quite sure, but notifications vía e-mail do not seem to be possible.

You could check "follow thread" in the left corner of a post, but I did not receive any email although I followed this thread, so you're right. The complete thing seems not to work.
