Is there any way for users to replace Google with the search engine of their choice in the PSPad "Google Search" function? I prefer not to be tracked by G!.

No, it isn't possible now.
Any engine has own syntax and own possibilities. You can simply write your own internet search using PSPad scripting capabilities

I will try to investigate posibilities of other engines. What global engine do you suggest to use instead of google?

Not sure why you have the ability to change which Google gets used since they automatically redirect you to your local one anyway.

As to other search engines.

DuckDuckGo - duckduckgo.com
Bing - www.bing.com
Yahoo - search.yahoo.com (Yahoo!uses Bing for results anyway)
