Splitting a very large txt file into smaller ones

#1 Splitting a very large txt file into smaller ones

Hi,

I am new to PSPad and am looking for a way of splitting up a very large txt file (2.5 million rows, 3 columns) into smaller more managable txt files with the same number of columns but less rows. I saw something online about using the copy feature in the find dialog, which can be accessed from the search tab, however I cannot work out how to use it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Kind Regards

Daniel

I see the way only using PSPad scripting:
set position to start
move and select e.g. 100 000 lines
open new file, copy it there, save
repeat it to end of file

For such large files, better use a dedicated tool like www.hjsplit.org
