clip not working for a file type

#1 clip not working for a file type

Using PSPad 4.5.4 on Windows 7.
I can use clips for a txt file.
If I create a new file which has an extention tosh, i.e mytest.tosh, then control-space fails to open list of clips.
Can clips only open with known file types?
Tosh.

Hello

mytest.tosh isn't file without extension. Windows take part of the file name behind the last dot as file extension. In your case you have file with "tosh" extension.

There are 2 solutions:
You can change syntax to TXT (toolbutton, menu view, click on the statusbar)
You can create new user highlighter, there is no necessary to setup any keywords, but only fill the file extension field. You will be able to use your own clips.
