#1 FTP list very slow

Hello all,

when i try to connect to a IBM ZoS system it's take too long (more than 5 minutes) to list a library with almost 40.000 files.

If i use another software or directly trought command line it take less than 10 seconds.

PsPad required a specif configuration?

Another question is, how i open directly a file?
For example, if my library is 'example.src' how i open directly the file file1?
i tryed this and have error: 'example.src(file1)'.

Regards

You are right, 40 000 items in folder will be processed very slow, cause FTP server file list result needs to be parsed. There is no list output standard. Some programs (especially FTP clients) are better - they have defined file list parsers for individual FTP servers.

If you want to open file from "command line", you can use PSPad scripting and write simple FTP script what will open defined files or use input box to open any file you enter.
