Crash with word wrap, windows 8 (pspad version 4.5.6 - 2427

I recently installed pspad on a windows 8 machine. When I create a new HTML page, with word wrap on if I try to enter <p>, immediately after typing the 'p', it turns red and I get the access violation below (it doesn't matter what else is on the page). If I turn off word wrap, it works OK, and it also works OK - with or without word wrap - on a windows 7 machine.

Any idea what is wrong?
