Re: Cursor position

#1 Cursor position

Hi,

When I hit the down button on my keyboard, how do I get the cursor in pspad to move to the last letter on the next line?

I mean:

lorem ipsum dolor sit
amet| < I want cursor to come here.

This is what currently happens:

lorem ipsum dolor sit
ametbbbbbbbbbbbbb|< Cursor moves here.

This was how it was some versions ago.

Thanks a lot,
ellora.

You have either
- enabled block selection (via ctrl+shift+c or statusbar icon or menu > edit > selection type)
-- then switch to normal selection (ctrl+shift+n or click on statusbar icon or menu...)
- or have enabled menu > settings > program settings > editor (part 1) > Scroll past EOL and EOF
-- then uncheck this pref.

If you do not want to change either of it, remember you can simply jump to the desired position (after last character on line) with the END key. (You probably noticed but just in case you have not...).

I tried both:

I had normal selection enabled.

I unchecked "scroll past EOL and EOF".

Still the same.

I have to edit 1000s of lines at a time. Using end key all the time is hard on my fingers.

I unchecked "wrap soft with right edge" and that did the trick :D
