Sure you ran ElevatedShortcut.exe from the Windows 7 folder?

Yes, tried ElevatedShortcut.exe from several directories. No sucess. The comments for this tool are also ambivalent. Waste of time in my eyes.
Hmm, curiously other editors (Sublime, Notepad++..) can be used as portable with Emmet without any hassle (admin rights...).
Never mind.

Notepad++ uses Python for it's scripting, SynWrite has Emmet built in. PSPad uses Windows built in scripting but still not sure why your windows insists on admin rights all the time.

Sure, I also want to know what causes this problem. But no time to investigate this deeper.
Since my old Linux years I always config Win computers the same. Admin account for installing software and so on, restricted user for every day use.
On my old XP's no problems at all. PSPad portable with all functions. The new computer has Win 7 x64. Copied my portable tools and used them without problems. On February 14th, 2012 this %$§&#.. update (IE8 --> IE9) was installed. Since this time the scripting is mixed up. Rolled back the update 2 days later, but no change in behaviour.

I do remember that the IE9 update resulted in two scripting engines being installed and PSPad showing duplicate entries in the script menu but I thought Jan fixed it internally somehow.
Tried a clean version of PSPad?

As restricted user the scripts in the dropdown are not present.
As admin all scripts are present and usable.

Restricted is normal and admin is when used as admin yes? If so I'm wondering if it's more an issue with not having access to that folder when not running as admin.
