compare 2 files with Text Diff

Is there a way to compare 2 files and have the difference written to a 3rd file?

Have 1 file open then:
Tools => Text Differences => Text Diff with this file...

and have the results written to a 3rd open file?

In the past I have to copy and paste out of the 2nd file to get the differences.

Yes it's easy, but "kind of hidden".

Just after opening the second file, you get 5 ikons above them both.

Leftclick the last one to the right, called "Results processing", when you point your mouse over it, and then select "missing lines into new file".
