PSPAD locks up

Hi

I'm using pspad to write some html. the trouble is, when I go to menu item "HTML", then "HTML page preview" before the page is rendered there is about a 20 second delay which is driving me nuts.

This has been happening on and off for the past couple of years. Hope someone can help.

Does it occur consistently with current version during each preview?

In my experience, the only delay I can spot is during the first one, supposedly due the fact that IE (core) starts. But 20 seconds is way too much for cold start of IE even on very old hardware.

And what about IE per se, how long does it start on your machine?

PSPad uses IE engine to show you page.
If your page contains some scripts, maybe some your antivirus check it first and slow down rendering.
