I have a new version on PsPad 4.5.6 and if a file is on the Desktop I can not right click and choose Open in PsPad.

What is causing this?

Run Regedit.exe and navigate to key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Applications\PSPad.exe\shell\open\Command

Open default variable and after space add:
"%1"

Or download current installer from PSPad page and run instaler over existing installation.
This problem was fixed in installer before some time already. Where did you get installer from?
