When I put a Python script file into the Python.AXScript.2 directory I get a message that the MSVCR90.dll file is missing.
Shouldn't this file be packaged with PSPad?
Thanks
JB

This file comes from MS VC rutnime library. PSpad doesn't need, it's not written in VC.
Why should PSpad distribute part of runtime library?
I guess this file is missing in Python WSH installation support.

I know that PSPad didn't use to support Python scripting, but now I see it appears under the Scripts menu, so I tried creating one.
Did you include support for running Python scripts or is this indepentend?
Thanks
JB

You didn't understand me.
PSPad supports any scripting engines, what are installed into Windows Scripting Host. So you can use Python scripting in PSPad too.
What I have tried to tell you is, that error message joined with Office library comes from Python scripting engine, not from PSpad.

I understand you now.
Some editors have Python built-in, like Notepad++, but PSPad doesn't.
Thanks
