Date/filename in templates

Hey,
Is it possible to include into template some kind of code, that when you use it, it'll write current date/filename into new file?

I don't think so but you could for sure script something like that.

1. Create your template using some syntax to identify
fields to modify.
e.g.
<date> <filename>
2. Write some script that opens that template, searches for the fields to modify and modifies it with current date and specified filename.
