XML Select Tag issue

Select Tag is a cool feature but does not work completley.
Here's some example XML from a msbuild file..

<Platforms>
<Platform
Name="Win32"
/>
<Platform
Name="WinCE"
/>
</Platforms>
If my cursor is on the top Name="Win32", select tag does nothing at all. If my cursor is on the bottom Name="WinCE", select tag selects right down to the </Platforms>.

It seems the tag selection does not handle the shorter representation properly.

It works with pair tags and this confuses it.
