Hello,
I just upgraded to the newest pspad and it removed all my old preferences. I had customized pspad pretty thoroughly and I'm wondering if there's any way to get my old preferences back.
Also, In the file view, all file types show a recycling bin icon. Before the upgrade, all file types were showing an unknown file format icon. This was part of why I upgraded in the first place.
Is there anything I can do to resolve these two issues?
Thanks.

Problem 1.
Please ensure that you don't install PSPad as portable. No application has rights to write into Program files folder.
You have 2 ways how to fix it:
1. Run PSPad installer again and uncheck option "Portable application" during setup.
2. Run PSPad as administrator (use right mouse) to elevate PSpad rights, go to Program settings / System and check multiuser environment
Your previous setting will be preserverd.
Problem 2.
send me screenshot please. I am sure there is no recycle bin icon, but blank page icon.
Go to program settings / Program 1 and check use system icon in file explorer.
Point 2) wont be necessary, cause point 1 will fix your problems include point 2.
