Hi
If you wanna check for malware, you can test a file using 62 different antivirus systems here:
www.virustotal.com
virusscan.jotti.org
I just tested PsPad, and nothing was found among those 62 anti virus systems:

PSPad installer doesn't contain any certain toolbar or any similar software. It includes part, what dynamically offers different software. Babylon toolbar is only one of them.
I will contact support of external installer part.

'Babylon' still installs, without permission (unchecked).

I got already answer from support. They will investigate what is wrong.
If you decide to don't install offered 3rd party software, NO SOFTWARE should be installed.
I really apologize for all problems.

Hi
I'm using Norton Internet Security Suite 2012, and today I tried to download installer 4.42 MB from www.pspad.com
But I was redirected to www.brothersoft.com
my Norton Seruty blocks the website, and tells me:
Malicious Web site blocked
you tried to access: www.brothersoft.com It is a known malicious Web site. It is recommended that you do not visit the site.
"detailed report" reviewed security risks on this site. This site has been blocked for reasons of safety. Go to Symantec for more information about phishing and security on the Internet. Close the site Continue to the page yet
When I select "detailed report", Norton tells me, that they have blocked www.brothersoft.com because of 158 known malware threts:

Typical knee jerk reaction from Norton there. Brothersoft is just a download site for software the same as Softpedia and Download.com. They host thoushands of programs so odds are the odd slightly dodgy one will get through.

Before you write such report, would be correct from you to look at site what is blocked.
If you don't want to download it from Brothersoft, you can use another 2 mirrors.
Can you imagine PSPad trafic? From Brothersoft only (they has several servers) is it more then 40,000 downloads per month (over 200 GB).
