Selection Bug Pls. Help

but I could not reply to it.

For me, this is what is happening:
I can only select part but not all of what I want. On some lines, I can only select 6 characters.
On other lines, I can select most of the line but not all of it.
When I try to change something, the characters are added in the wrong place.
Sometimes when I highlight something, random blanks are added to the text while it is selected that then disappear when the selection is gone.

I tried turning scroll past EOL & EOF off and on (It was already on for me) and this had no effect.

The bug seems to have appeared since I changed my background colours in the highlighter settings.

I thought I could fix it with uninstall/reinstall but because it kept all my settings, this did not work!! I even tried uninstalling, running a registry cleaner and then reinstalling and this didn't work either.
