Install resets and overwrites

#1 Install resets and overwrites

Every time I install a new version of PSPad, it overwrites my colors specifications. This is a major pain. It shouldn't do that.

I don't remember what I did before. I usually use the installer package, I think, for Windows. As far as I can remember, it's done it every time I update.

This last time I used the latest build pspad455b2415.7z file and copied the files in the associated directories the way it said.

Although, it might have happened the last time I upgraded to the latest version. I haven't been editing a lot lately and had to switch everything to my laptop and start using it.

I always figured that that is the way it works and hoped it would stop at some point once you got the installer and upgrader working.

If you update PSpad with installer, don't install previous version, use new install over existing - this will update your installation.

Developer package doesn't contains PSPad.INI where is stored all your configuration, it means it can't replace it or reset your colors.
Unpack developer package and replace files in existing PSpad folder.
