PSPad is written in Borland Delphi 7 and based on SynEdit

SynEdit is an advanced multi-line edit control, for Borland Delphi,
Kylix (Kylix is supported into latest cvs) and C++Builder.
It supports Syntax Highlighting and code completion,

Resend mail from synedit developer forum:

Mal Hrz:
Hello,
We have three bugs left, 1041595 doesn't seem to be very critical.
I think these are definetly the last ones we should fix before the comming
stable.

I hope in near future will be stable release of Synedit and most of problems with wordwrap will be removed

> By the way, what version of Synedit used in PSPad 4.3.2 [2042] ?

Synedit 1.288 2003/08/31

Because next synedit version (Slavio Etrusco rewrite Synedit plugin systems)
break support of SpellCheck and bring other problems.

After next release I start implementation of UniSynedit mh-nexus.de

PSPad works great using wine on Linux.
you dont even need anything special to be installed,
just run the installer and it does the rest.

Binary versus ASCII (Plain Text) Files

The Difference Between Binary and ASCII Files

At heart all files are binary files -- that is, a collection of 1s and 0s.
But there's a subset of binary files we call ASCII, or plain text files.

Let's look at some example - different file types containing the word 'hello'
followed by a new line. To see the differences, we will use a hex display,
to show us exactly what is in each file, and highlight the word hello in the output
